Who will actually work on our website?

The short answer

The people you meet in the first conversation are the people who do the work. Simon Steed, an Umbraco MVP for 2026, and William Steed, an Umbraco Certified Master, are the developers on your project; Sharon Steed, our Managing Director, runs the business around them. There is no sales layer, no account manager relay, and no handing your site to an anonymous outsourced team once the contract is signed. This is a deliberate choice about size: we would rather be a small team of recognised specialists than a large one of interchangeable staff. It also means the answers you get in the sales conversation are engineering answers, from the person who will be accountable for delivering them.

Agencies are often a pyramid: impressive people at the pitch, junior people on the keyboard, and an account manager between you and anyone technical. If you have lived that, this question is really asking: will the expertise I am buying be the expertise I receive? Here, yes, structurally.

The team, by name

Simon Steed is an Umbraco MVP for 2026, a recognition Umbraco gives to a small number of people worldwide for contribution to the platform and its community. William Steed is an Umbraco Certified Master, the highest certification Umbraco offers, held by a small fraction of Umbraco developers globally. Sharon Steed, as Managing Director, keeps commitments honest and the business running. That is who you get. More about all three is on our about page.

Why small is a feature here

Umbraco work rewards deep familiarity. The developer who knows why your content model is shaped the way it is fixes problems in an hour that would take a stranger a day. In a large agency that familiarity evaporates every time the team rotates; in ours it compounds, because the same two developers have been building Umbraco sites together across more than 200 projects and every version since v4 in 2011. Our Silver Partner status, one of fewer than 150 agencies worldwide, is held on the strength of this small team's work, not a big team's logo wall.

The honest limits

A small team cannot throw twenty people at your project, and we do not pretend otherwise. What we offer instead is that nothing is ever lost in translation, nobody junior is learning on your invoice, and the person who promised you something is the person delivering it. For most business websites, that trade is heavily in your favour. Meet us properly via the contact page; the people who reply are the people described above.
