Testing runs against your actual content, forms and integrations, not a demo. Anything that changed between Umbraco versions is found and fixed here, before it can reach your visitors.
When the new version is proven, we switch. No maintenance page, no weekend outage, no gap. Then 30 days of cover, so anything that surfaces in live use is fixed as part of the job.
The project starts with access: code, database, hosting. Within the first days we have audited what is there and confirmed the scope, and half the fixed fee is invoiced; the other half comes on completion. From then on the work runs in our environment, not on your live site, which is why there is nothing for your visitors to notice and almost nothing for your team to do beyond answering the occasional question about how a feature is supposed to behave.
The middle of the project is the unglamorous part that makes the difference: rebuilding whatever the version jump breaks, replacing packages that have no modern equivalent, and running your real content through the new version until it behaves identically or better. Close to the end we agree a short window where recent content changes are synchronised across, so nothing your editors published mid-project is lost.
Cutover is deliberately boring. The new site takes over with no downtime, the old environment is retained as a safety net, and for the next 30 days anything that surfaces is ours to fix within the fixed price. Most clients' abiding memory of the project is that nothing dramatic happened, which is exactly the product.
Every Umbraco 13 site in the world shares your deadline of 14 December 2026. As it approaches, agency capacity tightens and rushed work commands rushed prices. The cheapest and calmest version of this project is the one booked early.
